Description: Footage of a prayer service conducted by Bishop Desmond Tutu, Reverend Allan Boesak, and several Muslim leaders for the seventeen political detainees at Diepkloof Prison in Johannesburg who vowed not to eat or drink until they were freed. The Master of Ceremonies was Charles Villa-Vicencio, Director of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR). Reverend Frank Chikane was one of the speakers. The service was organized by the Western Cape Council of Churches.
